The Foreclosure Story in Licking County

A heard a stat the other day about foreclosures in Licking County.

Combined, Park National Bank and First Federal Savings & Loan, two "local banks" in Licking County, account for just 4% of the foreclosures in Licking County in 2008 and 2009.

Compare that to the market share of banking that, combined, these two banks enjoy.  Combined, the two banks hold more than 50% of the bank accounts in Licking County.

I'll let the statistics tell the story.  I think it's pretty telling about the role community banks play in the success of a community.
