An economic development group can't pay for an op-ed as good as the one that ran in Sunday's edition of The Advocate. Read it in full here.
"New businesses will come for the skilled labor and stay for the quality of life," columnist Matthew Trombetta writes.
His description of how someone who has experienced living in San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City but favors life in Licking County defies conventional wisdom but truly says it all: "I have diverse tastes that are accommodated by the great diversity of activities available in the area."
Matthew runs the Weathervane Playhouse here in Newark, Ohio which brags to be "Ohio's longest-running professional summer stock theater." He also teaches voice lessons to area singers.
His positive approach is helping to sell Licking County as a place to live that can, truly, compete with pretty much anyplace on the planet as a play to life, work, and play.
