My wife and I ate downtown. The scene got me thinking.
Downtown Newark really is an exception among Ohio downtowns for cities with a mall nearby. There are things to do, even at night, in downtown Newark. Numerous restaurants, from fine dining to fast food, mix with the Midland Theater and The Works as draws. Every generation has something to enjoy.
I recommend a stop.

Take Action: We ate at The Grill's Chophouse downtown. It's so new they aren't on Google Maps or in anyone's Garmin yet. It's worth a stop though. They don't take reservations and they don't have a website, but they do have a phone so you can call them to see how long the line is at (740) 344-2467.
