My other seven-year old son writes good fiction. In his book to me for my birthday, he included this page.
In translation: "I jumped to the closet and put on my clothes, I did my morning chores, and I brushed my hair."
He's never gotten out of bed and gotten dressed quickly in any recent memory.
Chores? He's done some, but in the morning? I doubt it.
I don't think he's ever brushed his hair on his own.
At least Brooks has a high opinion of himself.
