This is a Columbus Dispatch chart that appeared in a December 1 story marking the infamous milestone of 100 homicides for the 11 months of 2010 in the City of Columbus. Not good.
I remember in 1991, the first year I lived there, the number of Columbus homicides hit a shocking 139. The Dispatch would publish a map with a dot for every murder that year.
That was a scary map.
The ATM I used. Murder.
The main street I followed. Murder. Murder.
Want go to a new restaurant? Murder there. Murder here.
Who can live like this? No pun intended.
Time to do something, Columbus. Time to do something.
