More than a name, Workenomics is Licking County's trademarked-name group combined of workforce development and economic development efforts. The effort has been around since 2004, preparing for a workforce crunch that, due to recession, has not arrived yet.
In good economic times, Workenomics needs to reassure existing employers they will find workers and assure prospective, new employers they will have a startup workforce.
Workenomics' Projects Committee is at work on a unique commuter project. More on that in the future.
Suffice to say, information is needed to tell us about our commuters and their habits. We can do a better job as a community helping our entire workforce find their way to job openings in Licking County.
