We have one for agriculture. There's hints of one for energy. We all know about health care policy.
Shouldn't there be a national manufacturing policy?
Taxes, innovation, infrastructure, workforce, and trade are all part of preparing the U.S. for a rebirth in manufacturing that has already begun.
A Washington Post story shows the discussions are starting, but the Presidential election tends to make it look like a 2013 proposition and later rather than sooner.
Whatever the case, it's time for a national manufacturing policy.
