Back to Old Stony Man

This postcard from when postage stamps cost just a penny shows Stony Man mountain pretty much as it appears still today.  You can see the makings of a man's head while the man lays on his back, thus, Stony Man.

My family is going to Shenandoah National Park and will be visiting the old Stony Man again soon for a last trip-of-the-Summer excursion before the kids go back to school.  It's our third time there in three years.
