That's a phrase bound to be met with sarcasm and skepticism. And for good reason.
Yesterday's blog had a piece on manufacturer's confidence.
You can find a piece on a national opinion poll on manufacturing: "90% of respondents said that strengthening manufacturing in this country is either the most important or very important issue that Congress and the President should address this year." Sound like a national manufacturing policy?
There's even a posting with a great look at the Midwest adding many of the U.S. manufacturing jobs in the past few years.
