Company Announces China Manufacturing Plant, Stock Dips Sharply

Until this hypothetical headline as the title of this blog becomes more often real, offshoring of manufacturing jobs will continue.

Some haven't gotten the memo, yet.

Joel Kotkin, and others, have been pointing out the reasons why investment in U.S.-based manufacturing makes more sense. His demographics-driven story is a good one that I wish more people were hearing and heeding.

However, Wall Street hasn't quite woken up yet to how bad any manufacturing investment outside the U.S. will be in coming years. Until they do, we have to be preparing and waiting.
