Here's what my Wednesday in apps looked like. There was nothing extraordinary about Wednesday. That's the point.
I woke up earlier than normal and checked my e-mail and surfed news websites using my Mail and Safari apps. With a bit of extra time, I snuck in a quick game of Uno.
My travel reimbursement check was ready. I pulled out the iPhone and deposited it in my checking account right then and there with the Mobile Deposit feature of PNC Mobile's app worked just fine. The deposit was credited just seconds later too.
My Outlook task list doesn't sync up with the iPad, but thanks to the ToDo app it does now.
My 2 p.m. meeting is outside so I check the weather with the TWC MAX+ app. If there was bad weather coming, my next step would be to check the real-time radar on WunderMap.
My PC wouldn't accept a WebEx meeting at 9 a.m. so I opted to try it on my iPad. The WebEx app worked fine, except the host didn't enable i-access that day.
Over my lunch hour, I got on the GreatClips app and checked-in for my haircut in advance. I walked right in, said my name, and sat down for my cut. Wow, that was easy.
There's an alert from Twitter. Someone in Philadelphia was updating me on a solar module project happening there. Looks like that project is under construction.
Heading home, I noticed some gas prices changing. I have benefited from GasBuddy so much that I feel an obligation to report a few prices enroute.
Later, I checked what happened in 1861 with the History Channel's great Civil War app. The Indians played at 7 and At Bat 11 app from MLB.com let me see highlight clips and a graphical depiction, pitch-by-pitch of the game against the A's.
I also fulfilled my daily routine of flipping through Facebook and Twitter message content in the quickest way I know using Flipboard.
My daughter just started a new job and headed off to college a few days early. I thought we'd see the Skype app that night, but it will have to be in our future.
Time to relax. A round of Scrabble ends my day.
That's my day in apps. And I recommend every single one of them.
Rick,
ReplyDeleteGlad you like and find our app useful. Our goal is to make your haircut as easy and convenient as possible.
Also, I'm a big fan of Flipboard, but found a few others in here that I'll have to check out.
Thanks,
Kasey S.
