Another extraneous finding came from my recent research. Hope you agree its blog worthy.
Newark, Ohio was founded in 1802 and celebrated its 200th anniversary as a community ten years ago.
However, it wouldn't have grown to become Ohio's 20th largest city if it weren't for a little economic development along the way.
The first merchant in Licking County didn't arrive until 1805, though. The first business was owned by Archibald Wilson. Thanks, Arch.
