Dean Barber is a site location consultant who set up show in Dallas, though his work is around the country. He religously publishes a column weekly on the blog, usually Sundays, that can be counted on to give some straight talk on economic development and business development.
Recently, he took on the rankings lists with a mix of humor and a dose of reality. He isn't shy about putting out when development trends may be lacking in facts. Don't ask him about reshoring of manufacturing if you aren't prepared for his blunt answer.
