Someone showed this to me Wednesday after I gave a speech that included a reference to over dependency on GPS and satellites. The cartoon could just as easily have said "not to use the GPS."
China showed they have the ability to shoot down our satellites and other nations have easily demonstrated the ability to block GPS from working on drones. Hackers have a hand in presenting a threat too.
Inertial navigation systems are independent devices. In fact, satellites depend on them.
Oh yeah, and they are engineered and manufactured at the Aerospace Center in Licking County.
