Goodyear Joins Innovation Birthing Ward
Licking County's Southgate Corporation has proven, once again, the value of spec buildings in the industrial marketplace. And Grow Licking County has landed another one.
Goodyear is readying the industrial building in Hebron in Central Licking County for its new product development center. The Newark Advocate has the headline at the top of the front page today.
The next generation of manufacturing process innovations for Goodyear could get born right here.
Licking County is an innovation birthing ward, of sorts, in Ohio for just this type of thing.
Here's just a few of the examples that came to mind after just a few sips of my coffee this morning.
Boeing has a 3D prototyping center at the Port Authority's Aerospace Center. UTC Aerospace Systems is designing future inertial navigation systems here too.
Acuity Brands' Holophane development center is in Granville Township. It's near the Owens Corning Science & Technology campus.
Bayer MaterialScience and its North American polycarbonate plant has a product development center that boasts a same-day turn around on prototypes and materials.
There's more.
Now, where can we house the blimps?
