I've been preaching 3D printing for a long time. Only today, though, did I practice what I preached.
Yesterday afternoon, I discovered a website for designing 3D printable objects at 3dtin.com. I designed a part that was supposed to be a desktop thing. Let's call it a widget.
With a window of time this morning, I printed it on the IC3D 3D printer.
Yes, I got some unexpected results, both good and bad. But the key is I can now say that I practiced what I preached. I have some more practice to go too.

UPDATE: I got better with more practice. My next three printed designs were much-improved.
